I have many Christmas traditions; one of them is
going over to my grandparents’ house and decorating their house around
my dad’s birthday. We always bake cookies and string lights on the tree and
roof. On Christmas Eve, my family and I go over to my grandparents’ house and
have dinner, open presents, and tell stories about my dad, uncle, and aunt.
On Christmas Day, my mom usually invites her side
of the family over for a big lunch/dinner meal. (It is pretty hectic.) Before
people arrive on Christmas day I have to do all of my chores and help with heating
up 7+ dishes. (We cook some of the the food the night before.) We have so much food that
it usually lasts us up to 5 days after we originally made it. (Nobody leaves
our house hungry.) Around the holidays I look forward to seeing the relatives that I don't usually see and eating the delicious food. For Christmas I celebrate with both sides of my family.
